About Caroline & The Chambered Nautilus
A Licensed Professional Counselor, Caroline has been practicing since 2007. She worked at Catherine's Place in Hartford, Wheeler Clinic in Plainville & New Britain, FOCUS Center for Autism in Canton, and now in private practice since 2010.
She received her masters in counseling from St. Joseph College in West Hartford and went on to become a trained EMDR therapist in order to work with trauma. Using different modalities, she devotes her time to a private practice in Avon working with individual adults who suffer with anxiety, depression, anger, stress, grief, trauma.
"My goal is to help individuals work through the issues that prevent them from living the lives they want. Through supportive guidance, we will work together to make the changes that will shift how you approach and resolve your challenges."
The Chambered Nautilus
The Chambered Nautilus is a cephalopod.
As it matures, it creates new chambers and moves its growing body into the larger space, sealing the vacated chamber without destroying it. In the process, it creates a container of great beauty.
For us to grow and mature, we must do the same – recognize what has shaped us while letting go of what no longer serves us, without destroying or clinging to the past.
We, like the Chambered Nautilus, must move forward in order to grow, creating "containers of beauty" in the process.
